Israel’s Nuclear Plans Ignored and Concealed by Congress

We have just been treated to two separate but related May Day events, one in Washington and the other in Israel. These indicate that world leaders, probably including our President, are either parties to or being pressured toward another disastrous war.

The global plan of that ominous power we call “Supra-Gov” is indeed in motion.  One of Its apparent, ultimate goals is to see the entire Middle East reduced to but two survivor, colonial states ruled by Israel and Saudi Arabia, but yet with the latter becoming eventually a vassal state to the former. Our Congress is guilty in this as well by virtue of its cowardly neutrality, attempting to dodge its responsibility to protect and defend the peace of the electorate who put them in office.

Let those who can recall it consider the “Weapons of Mass Destruction” ploy that deceitfully initiated US so-called wars against the sovereign nations of Iraq and Afghanistan – wars that are still going on.  The US has killed more than a million human beings in Iraq and lost more than a few of our own.  Followers of Jesus should be leaders in the Godly effort to head off yet another war, not to mention the eventual and inevitable financial disaster that otherwise we are storing up for our children.

A dramatic hint of more warfare came on May Day, as Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu took the world stage to announce a threatening new Islamic “discovery” that had been made  (actually an act of theft by the Mossad secret service).  Netanyahu boasted that, in January, Israel had cleverly stolen Iran’s nuclear war plans.  He then went on elaborately to present what he called ”proof” that Iran has an ongoing nuclear weapon development program.  His concocted, childishly simplistic “proof” means nothing, and proves nothing at all, except to people who simply choose to believe, including millions of deceived Christian, churchgoing Americans.(1)

As we already alluded, the second event pointing toward imminent war is cooking in the US Congress as it shirks it’s responsibility for the spending acts of Donald Trump.  Congress’ criminal lack of action is heading the US straight into financial disaster.  However tragic, war is usually the art of burning money the warrior does not have.

We quote from a modest and carefully crafted observation by the unusually thoughtful, Concorde Coalition.  It exposes the fact that the United States Congress has abrogated its responsibility for fiscal soundness by failing to produce what amounts to a business plan for its expenditures for the rest of the year. The plan, or the lack of one, is called  the Congressional Budget Resolution, and it is always done at this time of year, except not this year.(2)

As Concorde Coalition explains, “A budget resolution should provide the American public with greater governmental transparency, presenting a clear picture of the fiscal goals towards which Congress is heading.”

We agree. Most Americans do not want war as a fiscal goal. Hiding its head in the sand, Congress is ignoring the obvious, wanton spending being forced upon it by the Trump administration’s war-based plans, the building of a Mexican wall, and a huge tax cut in the face of an already immense deficit, and expansion of war in in the Middle East.

“They (Congress) are reluctant to pass a budget resolution that fails to make difficult choices and consequently is ignoring further rapid growth in federal deficits, debt and interest payments,” writes Steve Winn of Concord.

In the past, our Congress has been a party to hiding the cost of old wars under new, bigger ones.  And we the citizens tend not to look at the cost of conflict once there are missiles in the air and people are dying. The tactic is always to sneak us into the war, then ignore the dollar cost. A likely way this time will be for Israel to bomb Iran and the US steps in to protect our “beloved ally” who is actually our most expensive and dangerous one!

The Concord report goes on to say that the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) recently projected under current laws that, “annual deficits will consistently exceed $1 trillion in 2020 and beyond. Total federal deficits over the coming decade would add up to more than $12.4 trillion. The debt would climb from 78 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year to 96.2 percent in 2028. So, many lawmakers — apparently including congressional leaders — would prefer to simply forget about passing a budget resolution this year.”  ( GDP means the value of everything produced in America!)

U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Munchkin (appointed by President Trump) said he’s unconcerned about the bond market’s ability to absorb rising government debt, after his department said it borrowed a record amount for the first quarter. It is his job to say this, and it has nothing to do with economic reality. (3)

We Hold These Truths says, “nonsense”.  No economy can withstand the burden of debt placed on it by years of constant wars, and cost of over 1000 foreign military bases.  Every missile is a total waste, with zero return if it hits nothing at all.  In fact, every missile reduces the utility of its target as well as the coffers of the sender.  There is no free war!

Israel has no problem funding a war on Iran that it is contriving and campaigning for because it receives its war budget from the US Congress, month by month.  What’s more, its arsenal of nuclear weapons was provided by the US taxpayer, whom Congress now ignores.

There appears to be no way for the Congress to put forth a business plan because spending is already out of control, pointing toward the most massive budget deficits in many years. These new deficits are being piled on top of the old that, according to Concorde, will put the US in worse shape financially than the Country of Italy by 2020.

Why does Netanyahu’s “discovery” lead to war?  War has become the excuse most commonly used to cover up deficits and out-of-control spending. Simply stated, our politicians believe that if they can find a war to fight, no one will bother to look at how much money it costs, or where that money is coming from.  War is like a general anesthetic!

Meanwhile, nuclear world power, Israel, goes about hacking up an excuse to destroy a warehouse in Iran that could precipitate almost anything, since Russia is allied with Iran as is China.

It is up to Christ Followers to disclose and oppose these obvious, blatant war plans of politicians both here and in Israel.  If we fail to do so, our future generations will be saddled with the cost of these wars, and we will have to face the facts and the consequences of the annihilation of other Peoples, starting in the Middle East, but possibly in Russia and even China.  And how about when war finally comes to light here in the USA?

For sake of emphasis, we repeat:  Followers of Jesus should be taking the lead to head off any and all future wars, avoiding in the process the otherwise, inevitable, financial disaster being stored up to lay on the backs of our children.
