VIGIL FOR PEACE WITH JUSTICE

On the public sidewalks at:

Southern Baptist Convention Conference
Phoenix Civic Plaza,
Third Street and Monroe Avenue
Phoenix AZ

FIRST VIGIL: 4:30PM to 6:30 PM, Sunday, June 15, Pastor s Conference.

Help take our message to the thousands of Pastors attending this great Convention. Affirm support for right to life for all races, for the born, as well as the unborn children, and opposing Serial Wars. This is a very large “Christian” denominational gathering. Baptist pastors from every state and many large churches will be there. Join us, and give them a preview of the Project Strait Gate visit to their churches.

The Southern Baptist Convention Has Bloody Hands. Its leadership unabashedly supported President Bush s “SHOCK AND AWE” DESTRUCTION OF IRAQ under the so called “just war” theory, and it has SUPPORTED THE OCCUPATION OF PALESTINE* under the Old Testament foremost “chosen people cannot sin” abuse of scripture.

Many Celebrity Christians, including Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Billy Graham and many more are bred and reared in the Southern Baptist tradition. Some will be there. (*Arial Sharon has now admitted the Israeli military is an “occupation force”)

THE RULES:

Watch for the Yellow and Black STRAIT GATE SIGN. Ask that.
You may bring an appropriate sign or flag, some we are using are:

IRAQ? WWJD? (WHAT WOULD JESUS DO)
CHOOSE LIFE, NOT WAR.
CHRISTIAN RACISM KILLS PALESTINIANS
INNOCENT BLOOD on your hands, Iraq, Gaza

* If you do not have sign you may help pass out literature.
 
* Remember, you are addressing the church leaders, not the general public. 
 
* Please dress in traditional church attire, bring water hat or sun glasses.
 
* Refrain from loud exchanges with anyone. 
 
* Please give space to those who come out to talk, no not interrupt or argue.
 
* Stay spaced so all the signs may be seen by those entering.
 
* Please refer all press and other official inquires to the sponsors.
 
* Hand out literature will be provided. 
 
* Bring you cell phone and camera if you have one. 
 
* A Devotional will be led by the sponsors between vigils. 
 
* Car pooling is suggested.
