Demand the Impossible Dream

The State of Israel is acting out the part of the Warmaker’s Pit Bull, escalating toward a full-fledged world war on Islam. This is happening with the support of the “Christian Right,” a unified minority among the American people which actually welcomes a war on Islam regardless of the consequences. An even smaller minority, with truth on its side, can reverse the rush into serial wars.
Those who want peace and hate the cost of war must learn how to resist. The Warmaker policy architects of our present administration admitted long ago they planned continuous war to be justified by the “economic benefits” of war. But they did not yet admit that Muslim populations are the defined targets, though this fact is inescapable. It just so happens that a lot of oil lies under Muslim feet.
War on Islam (1) is the Warmaker’s economic war to replace the Cold War, and Arab oil is not a coincidence. But the underlying reason for the war is neither for oil nor for hatred of Islam. It is a war to control our own economy and the life habits of our people; war is and always has been an end in itself for those we call the Warmakers. Americans are clearly expected to fund it…therefore, it is our war to stop, and our humanity depends upon it. There can be no excuses for tolerating genocide in the name of security.
We Hold These Truths is not a newsletter, it is a mission. We suggest a simple, anyone-can-do-it action plan called Project Strait Gate (2). For some of us who call ourselves “Christ followers” it is also the path to restore our chosen faith from an abyss where it has been cast.
By involving the USA in continuous wars the Warmakers (lately often called Neo-cons) hope to justify printing more dollars, enough they hope, to keep the economy suspended in an unreal fog of diluted money for a few more years. This is their plan.
The whole world knows it is gagging on printing press dollars. Who prints it (5), and what if the inflation plan fails? Do the Warmakers go to the poor house in disgrace? Certainly not, the Warmakers are bankers not farmers or soldiers; they have a back up plan that will take care of the biggest of the big (the rest, from Donald Trump on down, will be cut loose to sink). If the inflation plan fails the Warmakers, reserve the option of deflating the economy and foreclosing on a lot of juicy mortgages when you and I cannot pay our interest payments.
The so-called Neo-cons want war and they control the Administration, so why don’t they simply persuade George W. Bush to bomb the next Islamic country, say Iran? That is what they are trying to sell to the Group of Eight in Russia as we speak, but it will not float. Simply stated, no matter how willing Mr. Bush is, he cannot manufacture even one more war. Too many people are waiting for just such an excuse to demand the scalp of every politician who backed his “war on terrorism.” Mr. Bush has already spent all his political power and will be lucky to ride out his term in one piece. The Warmakers need a proxy for Mr. Bush to start the next war, and provide an excuse for the USA to be drawn into it. That proxy is Israel.
The delicate balance between the trembling dollar, the bloated stock market, and the even more puffed up real estate bubble (as Alan Greenspan calls it) make up the three legs of the stool upon which is perched a 400-pound monster war gorilla. Each of these flimsy legs is ready to collapse, as the war monster adds more pounds to the stool. As the War on Islam accelerates the price of necessities will become unaffordable to a greater number. The crazeed and bloated mutual market and housing market will wither, shrink, and finally collapse before our eyes; millions of homeowners, who have become over indebted real estate investors, will see their equity evaporate. This is the price of the Warmakers’ plan. You and I are expected to make this sacrifice.
The run-away prices of basic commodities, such as fuel, metals, food, and taxes, signal the impending collapse of public confidence. If the President defies public opinion and bombs Iran or Syria, one or more of the legs will fall from under the shaky stool.
The Neo-Con solution to the obesity of war is more inflation and more war. When war becomes too unpopular, an aggressive proxy is found to start the next big one. Israel is that proxy, a government that has never been without war, and has the arrogance to start one any time without the least conscience.
Israel is a unique of nation because its sins are protected from exposure. The evangelical mega-churches and the Zionist-controlled public media protect Israel. It can escalate conflict only so long as its act are justified by the Christian Right as “self defense.” The Zionist-friendly media cannot prop up Israel without the Christian Right’s media support.
Israel is the Warmakers’ proxy (3). Its job is to agitate for war against every oil producer, from Chechnya to Iran, and maybe even Russia in the future. With the support of the press, American Jews, and the vocal Christian-Zionists, the USA will eventually come to Israel’s rescue and occupy Israel’s neighbors, or so goes the plan.
It is not necessary that one be sympathetic to Islam to want to stop this bloodletting. You only need to be sympathetic with the future of your own children in an authoritarian world of run away money dilution where a college education will soon cost a million dollars, and your children’s option to the college you cannot afford may be to be trained to kill Muslims.
We remind our readers that the term “Warmakers” is our own, coined almost ten years ago. The same crowds have been with us for generations, and are popularly called “Neo-cons,” but they have enjoyed a lot of other names in the past. John F. Kennedy, not long before his assassination, called his enemies “a monolithic ruthless conspiracy.” General Eisenhower called it “the Military Industrial Complex.” To some they are the “New World Order,” whose members hangs out at the Council on Foreign Relations headquarters. Jimmy Carter told the world “they” dominated his foreign policy,” Bill Clinton met “them” at Harvard and Oxford, and the Bush family calls the Warmakers “partner” or “old buddy.” Perhaps only you doubt the Warmakers exist? We do not!
Israel is now bombing the Beirut airport and killing hundreds who happen to be near “terrorist targets” in Lebanon, and is traumatizing the living. No one dares to move to curb Israel because they are the Pit Bull of the USA. Israel does most of its killing with American built Sidewinders and Hellfire missiles, while complaining the Hezbollah uses their inferior Iranian rockets. The American press has, and will continue to greet Israel’s mass assassinations by either ignoring it entirely or by implying that the Hezbollah and Hamas provoke Israel.
President Bush, as would be expected from his list of friends and supporters, says Israel has the right to defend itself, and he blames everyone but Israel for the escalation. He even blames Syria, his cue to Israel to bomb Damascus. I quote Bush from one of his best friends, JVA, Global News Service of the Jewish People:
Bush: “Syria needs to be held to account,” and in Germany, where he was meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel, he said: “Syria’s housing the militant wing of Hamas. Hezbollah has got an active presence in Syria.”
“The War on Islam” is not new, it includes Gaza, Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya, Somalia, and Bosnia. We Hold These Truths identified this war in an article on March 21, 1994. (1) The attitude of the US Administration, US media, and the all-important Christian Right in the Neo-con plan is to ignore the incineration of families… one had all ten members blown to pieces in their home by a white-hot US warhead. But the starvation of children in Gaza far exceeds the damage from American bombs dropped on their homes and schools.
A million prisoners in Gaza and another million refugees from there to countries all over the world are in sympathy with the Gazans, plenty of homemade rockets and bombs will provide Israel more excuses for expanding the War on Islam. US foreign policy has been war on “terrorism” ever since the anti-war movement of the 1960s forced a rethinking. We now make war on tiny countries the size of our smallest states.
The Warmakers know full well that Israel’s arrogant brutality will beget more violence, and the hatred will correctly focus on the USA. Israel’s brutality will bring hatred of Americans and more response from Arabs and their sympathizers everywhere.
Our hope is that the Christian Right (4) will be awakened to its own sin of shedding the innocent blood. Each should ask, “How will I meet a Holy God with the blood of these children on my empty and idle hands?”
The question that desperately cries out for an answer is: “what can one person do?” Our job is to expose the role of the Christian-Zionist mega-churches, a mission to the fallen church with blood on its hands: Project Strait Gate” (3).
