Mariam Fathalla, an 86 year old, stateless, Palestinian refugee living in Lebanon, has come to the US and Canada to tell her story about the Nakba (the Arabic word for “Catastrophe) that she, and her family, lived through in 1948. Mariam and over 750,000 other Palestinians were forcibly expelled from Palestine, and, around 500 of their villages were destroyed by the Zionists, in their drive to set up the modern state of Israel.
