We receive many diverse letters. Two that we want to share with you come from Dr. E. Elsharawy, a naturalized American Citizen and American University Professor, formerly from Egypt, and a Muslim. Curiously, he has more to say about the American Constitution than most of the hundreds of letters we receive combined.

Professor ElSharawy?s appreciation for that unique document comes, we suspect, from experiences gained by living in a part of the world where the word Constitution does not offer much protection. As a new American, he was no doubt required to learn about our system–something whole generations of our children have missed out on. I have been told by businessmen in Great Britain to my surprise, how fortunate we are to be protected by a Constitution. Ask those who do not have one. ED.

Dr. Elsharawy Writes about the Cause Of Terrorism

Dear WHTT,

If the Israelis had started their state with a constitution similar to the U.S. Constitution which gives everyone equal rights, regardless of their race, religion and origin, do you think we would have the kind of problems we have now?

The answer to this question starts with Israel as a Jewish state. The Israeli constitution discriminates against non-Jews. It gives Jews the right to take over land without proper compensation to the owner. It invites Jewish persons from anywhere in the world, including Africa, China and South America, to come and settle in somebody else?s land. The basis for this is the three thousand year old promise from God to enable them in this land. Three thousand years ago the Jews that migrated to Palestine were Egyptian and Semitic. Now, we are talking about (settling) everybody that considers himself a Jew, even if he is black, Hispanic or Oriental.

Armed settlers roam freely through Palestinian communities under the protection of the army, and they shoot anyone they dont like. At the same time, Palestinians have to go through checkpoints every block (less than 1/4 of a mile) to be searched inhumanely. Food shipments are blocked and people are near starvation; people are not allowed to go to work; aid money is not getting in to help families of the victims of Israeli violence. The suffering that these people have to go through in their daily life is beyond belief.

If you want to know for sure who is the aggressor, compare the number of people killed since last October more than a thousand Palestinians compared to a few dozen on the Israeli side, according to Israeli statistics. The statistics on the number and ages of child victims is horrible*

The racist and discriminatory policies of Israel are the core of the problem and are to blame for this situation. And unless the core is dealt with, the situation will only get worse. – E. Elsharawy

Dr. E. Elsharawy, on the U.S. Constitution

To WHTT

When the U.S. was a good example of Christianity, the U.S. and Muslims never had any problems. The U.S. Constitution is admired by a lot of Muslims, and I am one of them. It was when the U.S. turned away from Christianity and the Constitution that it started to accumulate enemies everywhere–in Asia, Europe and Africa.

If you get a chance to read the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx, you will be amazed at how far the U.S. went in the direction of socialism and what came with it, including the U.S. involvement in world affairs and world control through the United Nations. This turning point was during the Wilson presidency under the influence of Mr. House, a well-known communist and started several social changes in the U.S. government that kept mushrooming until today.

I can show that at the height of the Spanish Inquisition, Jews had nowhere to go except to Muslim countries in Moresque, Turkey, Egypt and Iran. They didnt go to the promised land at that time, because there were still some Latin states from the Crusades. I hope this will convince you that Muslims are not full of hate as we hear.

Ed.-  We thank all those who have written. We ask you to demand a stop to ?The Nameless War. ? It will be a war without a clear enemy and without a winner. It is an unholy race war, and it will not prevent organized acts of terror because the cause of the problem is not being addressed. Start by convincing your Christian leaders and friends. They and your elected officials are not doing their part to protect our rights under our Constitution.

Rewarding reading:  Journey to Jerusalem ? World Journalist, Grace Halsell, trekked through the Holy Land, from the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Israel, the home of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. She offers a rare balanced view from inside Jewish, Christian and Muslim families who share the small area of land. Conflicts are presented artfully from intimate interviews with family members of all groups. $12.00 (http//www.whtt.org/eshop.php )
