Victories in the struggle for peace and justice for Palestinians come slowly, but are coming more frequently. We Hold These Truths founder, Chuck Carlson, and Tom Compton discuss the inspiring documentary, Open, Bethlehem, by Palestinian filmmaker, Leila Sansour. and her groundbreaking, Bethlehem passport project designed to put wings to her film. Educating American Christians about the plight of their Palestinian Christian brothers and sisters in Christ, who are slowly being forced to leave the Holy Land, is vitally important.
We also talk about a recent, major victory in Boulder, Colorado where a resolution to make the Palestinian city of Nablus a sister city to Boulder was passed by the city council over strong opposition from vocal, local Zionists. It’s one of a few sister city projects in the US with a Palestinian town in the West Bank. It turns out that In 2009 Sacramento, California’s City Council unanimously passed a sister city resolution with Bethlehem. It also passed a resolution stating that it would form a relationship with an Israeli town. For examples of the turning, click here. The city or village of Bethlehem seems again to be a victim of an ambitious king. Although I do not ascribe to the hagiographic shrines that are visited and revered in the holy land the House of Bread must have a religious or political significance to the present amoral Jew or the personage, Israel.
I was not reassured with the Palestinians (Opening Bethlehem) chosen since they were UN representatives and commissioned to proliferate the UNESCO. One must presume as in America and Europe Palestine has its anti-culture of traitors and opportunists.
I hope the young woman , named Leila is a direct relative of Delila , a favorite feminine name and character of mine , who like all Old Testament characters are used through calumny and slander for the glorification of Israel. But the hostility now and the ascendancy of Israel through the satanic progenitor of America with its invidious Zionist churches leaves me skeptical if not shamelessly cynical of this ambitious young, woman.
I for me do not like Bethlehem becoming another sacerdotal amusement park and be further exploited by those universal merchants of commerce and loathsome greed who use this as another conveyance to promote the pandemic of Zionism.
As for Philistines early colonies were from Europe or Minoan and not Semitic.
This is my understanding and apologize and ask reproof if this is not correct. But they are never mentioned in early contact although they must have been restricted to coastal cities which today Israel has renamed or expropriated keeping the same name as a gloating rebuke of their success to the Most High.
And although the (Philistine) may have assimilated through the centuries with other indigenous races their glory of preserving their name is evidence of their integrity and avowed sovereignty. I do not think they are finished yet. It is a necessary mittle eastern policy that Israel has not used as in AMerica and Europe , subtle “Reconstruction” in Palestine but a radical genocide.
