At left is an example of the America’s alternative to diplomacy: An oilfield in ISIL held territory in Syria is bombed by the US Air Force.The US government justified the 2003 Gulf War against Iraq by telling Americans that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and that Al-Qaedi operated there.  Neither were true.  The US and its Middle East allies have supplied weapons and training to the rebels fighting to overthrow Assad’s government in Syria.  Now, there is ISIL (Islamic State in the Levant, or ISIS  or IS) fighting and causing mayhem in Iraq and Syria.  In this podcast Chuck Carlson analyzes what is going on over there with the start of what appears to be another US serial war.
