Why is it that the teachings of Jesus, like “Love your neighbor as you love yourself” and “Blessed Are the Peacemakers,” take a back seat to millions of Christians that are influenced by the religious dogma known as Christian Zionism?
In this 4 minute video, We Hold These Truths returns to Calvary Community Church (CCC) in Phoenix, AZ. One of our first vigils was held in front of this church in November of 2002, four months before the second war on Iraq started. Back in 2002, our signs like “Choose Life Not War,” “Who Would Jesus Bomb?” “Blessed Are The Peacemakers,” and “No More Wars For Israel” must have befuddled the congregants at CCC, because they came out and raised the Israeli flag.
Shortly after WHTT arrived for their first vigil at CCC in Nov. of 2002, the Israeli flag was hoisted up their flagpole.
The occasion for this most recent vigil at CCC was the hosting of a “God’s Heart For Israel” event sponsored by the organization Together For Israel. John Hagee Alledges A Copyright Claim On His Prayer For War-Update
In 2012, shortly after posting our video “John Hagee with Benny Hinn: Praying For War In The Name of Jesus” (you can still watch the video on our site), John Hagee Ministries (JHM) forced YouTube (part of Google) to remove it, claiming they had the copyright on the prayer, offered by Hagee at the end of the program, This Is Your Day, hosted by Benny Hinn. that was used in our video. How does a prayer offered to God in public, and aired on commercial TV, have a claim to a copyright? The copyright on the whole program actually belongs to Benny Hinn Ministries from the 2003 show where the Un-Christlike prayer was uttered. We’re grateful that we caused some feather ruffling in the radical Christian Zionist camp after getting over 25,000 views on YouTube in less than a month. In this podcast we also talk about another potentially dangerous phenomena, coming in on the radar screen, known as Messianic Christianity, where God is being promoted as a racist. The Messianic movement is converting Christians into followers of Judaism. The pass-over marks the change from winter to spring and on to summer. Easter marks the beginning of the new religious year. The New Jerusalem is the new religious year. We have a New Jerusalem each and every year and are supposed to make it a house of peace. Jerusalem as the house of peace is not a certain place or date but is continuous. Biblical Egypt, Ethiopia, Arabia, Samaria, Gaza, and Babylon are symbols of winter and exile, not physical locations. The sacred number seven will refer to the seven months beginning at Easter and food production. The remaining five months relate to non-production of food. These five months will relate to the evil characters in our bible.
