Neo-Christianity is defined as a reinterpretation of Christianity in terms of a current philosophy. The Neo-Christian movement is dominated by Christian Zionism, that is the largest Christian sect in America, whose belief system has been formalized within the last 110 years. Christian Zionist belief is wrapped around the idea that the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and that anything said or done against Israel constitutes a sin against God. It’s a tightly held belief as evidenced by a recent encounter by Chuck Carlson at a street fair in Denver. Craig Hanson and Tom Compton join Chuck to discuss the pitfalls of talking to Christians with Neo-Christian leanings in this revealing program. For background information, see Chuck Carlson’s article, “Call Them Neo-Christians.” (30 minutes)
