The first cracks in this Judeo-Christian dike are a few vocal, and significant, Jews and Rabbis critical of Hagee’s Christians United for Israel (CUFI) movement. They are speaking up now in increasing numbers.

Peter Sharp is is one of the 15 who held Vigil outside of the Washington Convention Center while John Hagee told 4500 inside that they must stand for Israel, even if that might mean making war on more nations. This is Peter's prayer.

A Little truth

The Arizona Press club first place award for best Religious, faith or ethics reporting of the year went to Tony Ortega for  Peace-Monger, February 13, 2003; the first feature report on Project Strait Gate.  Ortega concludes his long and sometimes critical story:   "He's (Carlson is) probably right when he says that born-again Christians like himself are best qualified to hammer home to other pro-life evangelicals that their support for war is inconsistent. Carlson threatens, "We want every church in the county wondering when we're coming."

We Hold These Truths' goal is a complete break between everything John Hagee says he stands for at a Night To Honor Israel, and the Christ-followers who are misguidedly among the 40 to 70 million under the stupefying spell of Judeo-Christian leaders like Hagee. They are defying Christ to following Hagee’s and others like him...into a culture of death in Christ's name.

How can We Hold These Truths stop when this injustice is supported by groups calling themselves “Christian Zionists” in our own country?

Our next vigil is now scheduled for Washington, DC on July 17, and we will find out the time and place. Hagee will share the program there with Newt Gingrich and Benjamin Netanyahu. Can you be there?

The following is an open letter to Pastor David Friend of Scottsdale First Assembly Dream Center, 28700 N. Pima Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. We suggest that you find out if your pastor supports Christians United For Israel (CUFI) and circulate this letter widely among pastors and layman leaders.

Christian Zionism is indeed the biggest political obstacle to peace in the world because it teaches war in the name of religion. If a “Christian” can be convinced God is for war, who can be against it?

"Christian Zionixzm...from Muslim-bashing to Israel lauding; from dramatic processions to keynote addresses; from offerings taken and offerings given -- there was not a shred, a trace, a scintilla of Christianity in the proceedings. It could well have been sponsored by the PTA or the Rotary Club".

Judeo-Christianity (Christian Zionism to some) by whatever name, is only three generations old, it is one of the youngest and largest religions making up 24% of the US population, some 70 million persons according to impartial polls, and we have reason to think it is even larger, with power that extends far beyond its numbers.

How many of those carrying out Washington’s commands consider themselves “born again Christians?”   The Christian Right is the major force enabling the Warmakers killers at the top.  Tillman’s once close friend, Jeremy Staat, a former college roommate and teammate on the Sun Devil Rose Bowl team is a born again member of the Christian Right who just enlisted as a machine gunner in the Marines, apparently believing he is following in Tillman’s footsteps.

 John Hagee openly claims or strongly implies that his success (and yours) is God-given because of his support of Zionism…he claims that God blesses the Christian-Zionists and curses any who dare oppose them.  He invites you to prosper by supporting Israel and spins lavish biblical yarns to “prove” his point with  distorted scripture.  If Pastor Hagee is correct, he and all those who bless Israel by helping destroy Arabs and Islamic countries will be richly blessed, even as we are cursed.  I call all Christ followers to this mission at Hagee’s shameful Warmaker meetings.

A Pastor's son asks some basic questions after befriending a Palestinian boy at school:

-Will you explain to me again why we as Christians should support Israel in its wars over there?

-Who is a Jew?

-But, didn’t you tell me most Jewish people don’t even attend synagogues or follow the laws of the Old Testament...are they still considered Jews?

-Is it fair for Jewish people to take the land of Palestine that other people live on without at least proving they descended from Jacob, and that the Arab didn’t?  I mean Manny looks more like a native Middle Easterner than most Jews. 

"If  I were a Jew who had survived the holocaust, I would urgently yearn for a country of my own, defended by a powerful army, so that I would not have to live with constant fear.  If I were a Palestinian who had lost my home and freedom as a result of the Zionist actions that created an Israeli state where I once lived, I would urgently yearn for its recovery.  Does Christian love dictate that we should put ourselves in the shoes of only one or both?
