Why can’t they both be a problem? Is there really no problem with radical Islamic terrorism in the world today? There is plenty of blame that can be put on both European imperialism of the 19th-20th Century , and American neo-con foreign policy that followed. But that being said there is also a problem with violent extremism in Islam (and its goes way back before the USA ever existed) that Muslims themselves must purge.
