Our Boys: Bring Them Home, Part II
Seeking Peace at the Community Church Of Joy
Project
Strait Gate’s opposition to serial wars remains unchanged. American
evangelical churchmen remain the primary focus. Our vigils are to people inside
Mega-churches who are conditioned and deceived to believe serial wars are
acceptable to God.
As
the US marines overpower the Iraqi army; so the US news media is seeking to
overwhelm the anti-war movement by suppressing the truth about serial war
atrocities in Iraq and Palestine. Many
evangelical churches and celebrity leaders now encourage a skin deep, patriotism
and hero worship of American millitry personnel.
This makes it difficult to oppose blood carnage and occupation, but it
also makes it all the more imperative to do so.
Join us!
To
this end, the Project Strait Gate Vigil team peacefully attended the Community
Church of Joy Palm Sunday service, one of the largely attended Churches in the
State. The Strait Gate home team
was not to be overwhelmed by COMMUNITY CHURCH OF JOY’s 250-acre campus, its
10,000 members, or 30 pastors.
Few
could avoid WHTT’s presence as parishioners came and left in carloads, Project
Strait Gate volunteers greeted many of these attendees, and confronted them with
thought provoking questions.
"IRAQ?
WWJD?" "CHOOSE LIFE, NOT
WAR," and "BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS."
The
US news media's influence in SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS was evident in the eyes of
those at the church. In the
exiting lane, a few rolled down their windows without stopping to make
statements, some shouting non-complementary comments, which we hope were not
learned in their church. Inside,
the pastor is said to have acknowledged our presence to the congregation and
disavowed any association with us.
As
far as we know, every church where we have held a vigil, the pastors have
lectured the congregation about our presence.
This is the value of the vigil, for it makes the issue alive.
The pastoral messages have varied.
On
thus Sunday, several persons departing quoted a near identical words to the
effect: IF IT WASN’T FOR THEM (the military), YOU WOULD NOT HAVE THE FREEDOM
HOLD THAT SIGN. Anyone who makes
this terribly misstatement is confused about the source of our freedoms.
In fact our forefathers were volunteers who fought against the
professional foreign Hessian army called who they contemptuously referred to as
"hirelings."
The
U. S. news media has been focusing on Iraqi liberation propaganda, ignoring the
damage to those being “liberated.” Some
of "Our boys" have participated in the horror and terror of mass
executions, and are being called heroes for it. Their military portfolios would likely have a kill to killed
rate about 1000 to one if all the incinerated body parts and civilians could be
counted.
Historically,
we are told that a standing army is the bane of liberty. The gallant leader,
George Washington, warned us that if we ever succumbed to a standing army, we
would no longer have freedom.
We
now have unrestrained political leaders with a standing army, the most dangerous
and bloodiest in mankind’s history, where everyone is a paid professional
soldier. As with any paid employee, one becomes beholden to the employer’s
goals. In the attempt to attain world conquest, these political Pharisees have
made mercenaries out of innocent youth. And, there is nothing just about a
mercenary war.
The
founding fathers who fought and died for our freedom were not professional
soldiers, but a citizen militia. They
were truly "volunteers" serving with little or no pay, they were
beholden to liberty, not to a millitry career.
The term, "volunteer army" is intentionally misapplied to our
present military.
Here
is a Marine Corp. Training ditty, quoted to us by former Marine Chris White who
witnesses to it in his WHTT interviews. His
taped interview on "kill!" training is available.
THROW
SOME CANDY IN THE SCHOOLYARD
WATCH THE CHILDREN GATHER ROUND
LOCK A BELT IN YOUR M-60
MOW THEM LITTLE BASTARDS DOWN
What
is the result of such training when administered to a paid millitry?
The following account by an interviewed US Army Private Nick Boggs,
American member of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM from Reuters news story, April 8,
2003, entitled:
KILLING
A CHILD: 'I DID WHAT I HAD TO DO' Reuters reporter on a battle at Karbala on
April 4th.
Reuters
repots:
"He
unloaded machine gun fire and the boy, whom he puts at about 10 years old, fell
dead on a garbage-strewn stretch of waste land at Karbala. "
"Boggs,
a softly spoken 21-year-old former hunting guide from Alaska, says he knew when
he joined the army 18 months ago he might someday have to make a decision like
that. I did what I had to do. I
don't have a big problem with it, but anyone who shoots a little kid has to feel
something."
The
Reuters story further quoted Boggs as calling the child his first kill.
"LIKE
MANY YOUNG SOLDIERS - HE SAYS HE WAS ANXIOUS TO GET HIS FIRST KILL IN A WAR.
Now, he seems more mature." Boggs,
further quoted by Reuters: "It's not about killing people. It's about
accomplishing a mission. In other words, our boys are trained to call murder a
mission.'"
How
very sad this writer is for Private Boggs and all those who have been lied to
about their mission. The colossal
lie today is that this country is fighting for individual liberty, even the
Iraqis, when, in fact, we are fighting for freedom to do what the government
tells us. And how many of our
troops would be in Iraq if they were not paid to be there?
We
do not demonstrate for the benefit of passersby or highway traffic, for to do so
might give the false impression that the church within opposes the slaughter,
when in fact, most enable it. My
sign right in front of those leaving was a very large: "BLESSED ARE THE
PEACEMAKERS" (Jesus words). It
received far too many jeers, shouts and honks.
But
there are a few very welcome thumbs, waves and smiled.
One brave family actually drove by with all hands clapping, dad, mom and
kids. And we held our signs up with our knees while we applauded them.
These few remind us of our purpose, to appeal to the small minority
within every church who simply will not go along with the momentum of the crowd.
These are the few upon whom freedom rest.
How
different it will be when pastors tell their congregation that killing children
is always wrong in Jesus eyes. Why
not tell the truth, that they must always beware of the press and give all sides
a fair hearing. What if he said
something really radical, like God give Iraqi's the right to life just as with
our children.
How
different if he would have bothered to learn how professional solders, like
Private Boggs are and hundreds of thousands like him, are being conditioned to
be callous killers in the all professional U.S. Military.
If
the pastors at COMMUNITY CHURCH OF JOY has not yet those who trust him then THE
BLOOD IS ON HIS HANDS. Join us,
start your own project!
With
U.S. propaganda shamelessly skewed for more serial wars PROJECT STRAIT GATE’S
efforts are even more important. In
educating others, we do not depend on the establishment media. God’s message
must be true to reflect His will. Dedication to discovering and disseminating
the often unpopular truth is necessary in finding the Strait Gate described in
Matthew 7:13.
